Today we’re drawing some lessons from the Psalms. I think Psalm 100 – Psalm 150 is a block of Psalms that can teach us a lot about praise and worship and give us some great language and inspiration to use to encourage it in our churches. Psalm 105 starts out with a template for gathering together and for praise and worship that I find very helpful. I draw out five worship leading lessons from this passage that will help us bring more meaningful leadership to our times of worship.

1 Oh, give thanks to the Lord!
Call upon His name;
Make known His deeds among the peoples!
2 Sing to Him, sing psalms to Him;
Talk of all His wondrous works!
3 Glory in His holy name;
Let the hearts of those rejoice who seek the Lord!
4 Seek the Lord and His strength;
Seek His face evermore!
5 Remember His marvelous works which He has done,
His wonders, and the judgments of His mouth

Psalm 105:1-5, NKJV
